SUZUKI-BOCHO (How to Cut Sea-Perch)

Forgetting to purchase the carp for a celebration as his uncle had asked, the nephew tries to lie his way out. Instead of being angry, the uncle starts to tell how he has prepared a sea-perch for the young man.

NOMORI (The Watchman of the Plain)

On the field of Kasuga (Nara) an old man recounts the legend of “the mirror of the watchman.” He then appears as a deity with a strange mirror that reflects all things between heaven and hell. One of Zeami’s spectacular compositions.
