How to book tickets
Tickets for the National Noh Theatre and National Bunraku Theatre: You can purchase tickets online, by phone, or in person at the theaters' Ticket Office.
Tickets for the Council-organized performances presented in other theaters while the National Theatre and National Engei Hall are closed (After this, referred to as "PERFORMANCES OUTSIDE " ): You can purchase tickets only online and by phone.
However, tickets on the day of the event will be sold at the performance venue if seats remain.

Follow the instruction below.
Online Booking Service- Only credit cards are accepted.
- Tickets for the National Noh Theatre and National Bunraku Theatre should be picked up at each Theatre's Ticket Office.
- If booking by Japanese Online Booking Service, Tickets for PERFORMANCES OUTSIDE should be picked up only at 7-ELEVEN (convenience store) in Japan. Please be careful. You cannot pick up reserved tickets at the performance venue.
- If booking by English Online Booking Service, Tickets for PERFORMANCES OUTSIDE should be picked up only at the Ticket Office of the performing theatre on the day of the performance.

- Phone lines are open every day between 10 am and 6 pm JST except on July 1 and during the New Year holidays.
- Payment can be made at 7-ELEVEN (convenience store) in Japan. Credit cards and cash (yen only) are accepted.
- Tickets for the National Noh Theatre and National Bunraku Theatre should be picked up at 7-ELEVEN (convenience store) in Japan or at each Theatre's Ticket Office.
- Tickets for PERFORMANCES OUTSIDE should be paid for and picked up at 7-ELEVEN (convenience store) in Japan.
On-site
Tickets are available at the Ticket Offices of the National Noh Theatre and the National Bunraku Theatre.
- The Ticket Office at the National Bunraku Theatre is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on July 1 and during the year-end and New Year holidays.
- The Ticket Office at the National Noh Theatre is open only on days when a performance is held (from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). On days when a performance begins after 6:00 p.m., the Office remains open until 30 minutes after the performance starts.
- Cash (yen only) and credit cards are accepted.
- Tickets on the day of the performance will be sold at the performance venue only if seats remain. Regarding ticket office opening hours at PERFORMANCES OUTSIDE, please refer to the performance page.
Ticket Policies
- In principle, purchased tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
In cases where the Council cancels or postpones an event, a special exchange/refund policy may be applied.
In such exceptional cases, we will notify you of our measures on this website and by other appropriate means. - Ticket booking is available one day before the event.
- Tickets on the day of the event will be sold at the performance venue only if seats remain, including PERFORMANCES OUTSIDE.
Concessions
Concessionary tickets are available to:
- Members of Azekura-kai and Bunraku-tomo-no-kai (only available in Japanese.)
- Students
- Seniors (aged 65+)
- Disability
- Groups of 10 or more*
