Traditional Performing Arts Information Centre
When you visit National Theatre, do not forget to include the exhibition in your plan! Traditional Performing Arts Information Centre showcases collections, including costumes and props used in actual plays and ukiyo-e woodblock prints. The Centre organizes themed exhibitions throughout the year.

How To Buy Tickets?
Tickets for the Council-organized performances can be reserved online, by phone, or in person at the Box Office/Ticket Office. You can find further details here.

Wheelchair spaces
Wheelchair spaces are available.
As for the location of wheelchair spaces, please see ‘Seating plan’ on each performance schedule page. Please advise us of your request in advance by phone or in person at the Box Office of the theater.
Parking spots for the disabled
Free parking spots for the disabled are available in front of the theater entrance. Please ask the staff at the parking lot to use the spot.
Difference in level
[Large Theatre]
The aisles of 1st floor (auditorium) are slightly sloping; there are no steps between the entrance and the front row seats. The aisles of 2nd and 3rd floor have steps.
[Small Theatre]
The aisles are slightly sloping; there are no steps between the entrance and the front row seats.
Elevators/Lifts and Escalators
[Large Theatre]
The theater has elevators between the 1st/ground and 3rd/top floor. You can take an escalator up to the 2nd floor. (After the performance, the escalators will be driven downward only.)
[Small Theatre]
You can use an elevator to reach the 2nd floor where the restaurant is located. Please use the stairs when you come to the 3rd floor where the tearoom/café is located.

You can enjoy food and drinks on the days of the performances. Our restaurants offer diverse options such as sandwiches, curry rice, noodles, and lunchboxes. Also, please visit our cafés for a break to enjoy tea/coffee and Japanese confectioneries.

Our shops cover various goods, including catalogs, books related to traditional performing arts, Japanese-style goods, and other souvenirs.
