Futari-bakama (Two-in-One Hakama)

A newlywed young man and his father pay a ceremonial visit to the father-in-law’s house. However, they only have one ceremonial hakama (traditional Japanese trousers), which should be worn for the occasion. How do the distressed father and son try to resolve their predicament?

Adachigahara (The Adachi Plain)

A woman is spinning yarn in a forlorn hut in Adachigahara in northern Japan. A group of mountain priests traveling through the area request lodging for the night. The woman warns the priests not to look into her bedroom, but… A fierce battle ensues between the female demon and the mountain priests in the last half of the play.
