Jishaku (The Human Magnet)
A man who is about to be sold off by a swindler runs away, but when the swindler catches up with him, the man suddenly claims to be a spirit of magnet. How does the mutual deception end?
Manjū (Lord Manjū)
Tada no Manjū is furious at his son Bijomaru, who refuses to study, and orders his retainer Nakamitsu to kill Bijomaru. Out of loyalty to his lord, Nakamitsu sacrifices his own son, Kōju, in Bijomaru’s place. The bond between lord and retainer and a father’s sorrow intertwine in this work.
