MUNE TSUKI (Punched in the Chest)

A fight starts between two men over a debt. The lender punches the chest of the debtor, who promptly starts crying about the pain and makes a scene. How will this end.

JINENKOJI (Jinen the Lay Monk)

Wishing to save an orphaned girl who sold herself to pay for her parents’ memorial service, the preacher Jinenkoji confronts the girl’s slavers. A tense drama featuring dances and a kakko waist drum performance will delight the audience. This staging of Jinenkoji restores the sermon playscript from the time of Kan’ami (1333–1384).
