NEGI YAMABUSHI (The Shinto Priest and the Warrior Priest )

An arrogant and unruly mountain priest who meets a timid negi (Shinto priest) at a teahouse treats him like a servant and tries to get the negi to carry his belongings. The teahouse owner challenges the mountain priest’s behavior and proposes that the two have a match. They must pray to a Daikoku statue, which will turn toward the one who prays the hardest...

YORO (Nourishing the Aged)

An Imperial envoy visiting Mino Province’s Yoro Falls, from which magical water gushes, asks a woodcutter and his son to tell him the story of the falls. After the man and his son leave, a mountain god appears and gives a blessing for peace on earth.
