KINUTA (The Fulling Block)

A man has gone to the capital for a legal matter, and his wife waits at home. To comfort herself, she beats cloth on a fulling block. Hearing her husband will not return at the end of yet another year, the woman dies in despair. This highly regarded drama by Zeami depicts the torn love of a husband and wife and sorrow born from loneliness.
