KAGYU (The Snail)

Tarokaja is told to go find a snail. Not knowing what he’s looking for, he mistakenly brings home a yamabushi (ascetic mountain priest). Enjoy the antics and the Den-den mushi-mushi song-dance routine.

FUNABENKEI (Benkei in a Boat)

Beginning with the graceful dance of Lady Shizuka at her sorrowful parting with Minamoto no Yoshitsune, the warrior and his band set sail, but they are attacked at sea by the vengeful spirit of Taira no Tomomori. These two contrasting scenes create the dynamic scale of this composition, which is the reason for its popularity.
