BO SHIBARI (Tied to a Pole)
The servants always help themselves to the sake when master is away. This time, the master tricks the two, binding one to a pole and tying the other with a rope. But the servants still manage to quench their thirst for sake. One must give them credit for their genius.
AOI NO UE (Lady Aoi)
Lady Aoi, the wife of Prince Hikaru Genji, is bedridden with an illness caused by the malicious spirit of the jealous Lady Rokujo, the former lover of the prince. The priest Yokawa no Kohijiri invokes Buddha’s power in his battle to pacify the demonic ogre. A masterpiece depicting Lady Rokujo’s passionate love and pathos.
