FUSE NAI KYO (Sermon without Donation)
A temple priest has finished a ceremony but has not received the offering for the service. He tries to bring attention to this in a roundabout way. The patron of the temple just doesn’t catch on…
UNRIN-IN (The Unrin-in Temple)
A man named Ashiya no Kinmitsu has a dream. In it, Takako appears with her brother Mototsune and her lover Ariwara no Narihira, who appear in the Ise Monogatari (The Tales of Ise). A Noh suited for spring that recaptures the tale’s depiction of the refined graces of the nobility in a world now far in the past.
