KAKI YAMABUSHI (The Persimmon Thief)
An ascetic monk is stealing persimmons. The owner of the orchard decides to give the monk a hard time and makes him imitate animals such as crows and monkeys.
ADACHIGAHARA (The Adachi Plain)
In the land of Michinoku on the plain of Adachi, an old woman lives in a hut spinning thread on a spinning wheel. A band of ascetic priests staying the night are told not to look in her room. In the second half a ferocious battle takes place between the priests and an ogress.
