BONSAN (The Dwarf Tree Thief)
Bonsan are scenery arrangements of dwarfed trees and rocks on trays. A thief sneaks into a house of a man, who owns some excellent bonsan. The master of the house discovers the thief and decides to tease him by saying he isn’t human, then makes him mimic different animals.
TATSUTA (The Goddess Tatsuta)
In fall, a tapestry of crimson maples; in winter, a brilliant carpet of leaves trapped below its thin ice sheet are the praises sung about Tatsuta River. The goddess Tatsutahime appears to recount the sacred legend of the Tatsuta Myojin Shrine. Her sacred kagura dance brings to the stage the beauty of autumn foliage.
