Traditional Japanese Dance for Adults and Accompanying Children
In traditional Japanese dance, which skillfully include seasonal scenes and people's feelings, there are rich stories to be experienced. This is an introductory performance that even the beginners of traditional Japanese dance can have a good time in a relaxed atmosphere. Let's have a bodily sensation of the charm of traditional performing arts through three steps: Experience, Learn, and Watch!

Let’s experience traditional Japanese dance!
Prior to the start of the performance, a "hands-on" experience session will be held at the Theatre. You can experience traditional Japanese dance, including choreography of dances, hand props such as an umbrella and a walking stick. You can also enjoy the lessons for beginners by performers. Please feel free to try them!
Learn (Starts at 1:30 p.m.)
Let's learn traditional Japanese dance!
Commentary will be given on traditional Japanese dance with demonstration. In addition to their history, characteristics, and highlights of dance, introduction will be made about the meaning of choreography and the usage of hand props. Let's enjoy learning the world of traditional performing arts together.
