The performance took place at the invitation of the National Gugak Center in Seoul and the Busan National Gugak Center. The Korean audience enjoyed the Ryukyuan dances "Kajadifu," "Menuhama," and "Kashikaki," along with the Kumiodori piece "Manzai Tekiuchi." This program was established as part of the special program in April, "Kumiodori and Jongmyo Jeryeak - Costarring of Japanese and Korean court entertainment -," held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and Korea.

The Seoul performance was titled "60th Anniversary of the Normalization of Diplomatic Relations between Korea and Japan: An Encounter of Korean and Japanese Intangible Heritage." The Korean side, alongside the Ryukyu performing arts, showcased the court music and court dances, both of which are traditional performing arts from banquets during the Joseon Dynasty.

The Busan performance was a standalone event that included commentary on Kumiodori. It was part of the "2025 World Music Lecture Concert Series," which highlights the performing arts of Korea, China, and Japan.

We will continue to promote the appeal of traditional performing arts both at home and abroad.
