Workshop Information: “Introduction to Engei Vaudeville Performance”

Japan Arts Council and Japan Association of Engei Performers are holding a workshop of Engei performance in order to promote an appreciation of Engei performance. We welcome you to experience the secrets of Engei performance under the caring guidance of the top performers from the Association of Engei Performers.

You may choose up to one program from each section above. You may apply for just one program in one section of your choice, as well as four different programs chosen from individual sections.

Presentation Each participant has an opportunity to present what they have learned in the workshop.
The presentation will take place in the Lecture Room on the 3rd floor of the Traditional Performing Arts Information Centre, after each lecture is done.

The e-mail title should be “Application for Engei Workshop”.
Up to four persons can apply in a single application.
Deadline The application must reach us no later than Friday, Aug. 30th, 2019.
Necessary Information Please include your name, age, telephone number, the section and number of your choice. When multiple persons apply in a single application, please be sure to include all the names and ages.
  • ※ The time of programs is subject to change.
  • ※ We do not accept participants under the elementary school age.
  • ※ In case of too many applications, we will select the participants by lot. The result will be notified around Sep. 7th.
  • ※ Personal information will be kept under strict control, and not be used for any purpose other than for this workshop.
