These performances full of the essences of traditional Japanese dance are now ready to start!
The National Theatre presents these classic masterpieces that are bright stars the history of traditional Japanese dance through competitive performances by leading dancers in the field – from our seasoned veterans to talented mid-career and young new artists.
The program includes four pieces with a variety of characteristics and highlights, based on graceful Suodori (dance without adornment), subtle and dynamic Kyōmai, as well as brilliant, urbane and dramatic Kabuki dance. Please enjoy!
